The big fish for Tennessee has been caught in the transfer portal. The official announcement of Chris Brazzell’s transfer to Tennessee has been made. Tall and 195 pounds, Brazzell plays football for Tulane. Brazzell had 44 catches, 711 yards, and 5 touchdowns for the Green Wave offence this season as a redshirt freshman. He had just one reception in his true freshman season, going for eleven yards. Although Tulane did not win the AAC championship, he recorded three receptions for forty-one yards in his most recent game. In terms of game yards, the FAU game was his best.
, where he caught seven passes for 103 yards, tying his career high of 103 yards from his game against Memphis. Towards the end of the season, he did have a multi-touchdown performance against UTSA, with 5 catches, 93 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Because of his season-long play, he was also named a College Football News Freshman All-American. He’ll be entering as a redshirt sophomore and probably seeing the pitch a lot. Ramel Keyton left Tennessee, so you might see him in that capacity.
In the last three years, there have been three significant wide receiver trades: Bru McCoy, Dont’e Thornton, and now Brazzell. There’s little doubt that Tennessee has found their guy, and they should be relieved because Washington also put a lot of effort into acquiring the 6-5 wideout.
