The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Indomitable Lions of Cameroon by 2-0 to reach the Quarter finals of the ongoing AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast.
Two goals from Ademola Lookman in both half of the encounter sealed victory for Nigeria. In what seemed like a repeat of the 2019 tournament, Nigeria was ontop from the blast of the whistle with little or no trouble to their backline.
There will now meet Angola in the Quarter finals as they look to progress further. 
Victor Osimhen, The current African Footballer of the year, lead the line from the front with tireless runs while Brentford’s Frank Onyeka controlled the midfield and Ola Aina and Bassey running the flanks in which the Cameroonians had no answer to. Manchester United , Andre Onana was an unused substitute in the encounter, though Vincent Aboubakar made a return from Injury in His first match of the tournament.
