PITTSBURGH — The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs, bringing back the former Pittsburgh Steelers sixth-round pick with a reserve/futures contract, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Buggs joined the Chiefs at the end of the season, signing to their practice squad following his release from the Detroit Lions. He remained on the practice squad throughout the playoffs, winning Super Bowl LVIII with them.
Buggs was the Steelers’ sixth-round draft pick in 2019 and spent three seasons in Pittsburgh, playing in 29 games, including seven starts. He then spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders before ending up in Detriot where he played two seasons, starting 16 games. In 56 career games, he recorded 89 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble and four passes defenses.
Buggs will have an opportunity to earn his place back onto an NFL roster this summer, and do so with the defending Super Bowl champions. Make sure you bookmark All Steelers for the latest news, exclusive interviews, film breakdowns and so much more!
