The Green Bay Packers have been doing their homework this off-season. The biggest change so far has been to their defensive staff. They’ll head into the 2024 season with a new defensive coordinator, defensive line coach, and defensive passing game coordinator.
However, it was an offensive coach that the Packers stole away from the Chicago Bears.
Adding an experienced NFL quarterback to Matt LaFleur’s coaching staff on offense will give him a familiar face. The Packers hired Sean Mannion, a 9-year NFL veteran who will work with quarterbacks and the passing game.
Mannion’s “intelligence and understanding of the game” made him a likely coaching candidate following his playing career, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN. His career will begin in Green Bay this season, working with Jordan Love and Sean Clifford.
