PHOENIX — Two former Phoenix Suns have found new homes since the month of March began.
Thanks to HoopsHype’s international and G League contract tracker, deals that perhaps may have slipped from under the news cycle can be seen.
On March 1, former Suns big man Darius Bazley inked a deal with the G League’s Delaware Blue Coats, who are re-acquiring him for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The Blue Coats are the G League affiliate for the Philadelphia 76ers, who signed Bazley to a 10-day deal on Feb. 20.
He played just 3.3 minutes per night in three games for the 76ers before signing with Delaware after the deal expired.
On March 2, former Suns guard Archie Goodwin inked a deal with the CBA’s Ningbo Rockets for the 2023-24 season.
Goodwin entered the NBA as a first-round pick in 2013, as he was initially drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder – before being traded to the Golden State Warriors and eventually dealt to Phoenix. He was released in 2016.
Goodwin did spent time with Phoenix’s prior G League squad in the Northern Arizona Suns. He last played in the NBA during the 2016-17 season for the Brooklyn Nets.
As for the Suns, they find themselves in a tight postseason battle for homecourt advantage as the 2023-24 regular season starts to draw to a close.
