Michigan football is heading into its biggest visit weekend of the Summer. And it just got even bigger. Top 100 WR Andrew Marsh, a Texas native, is expected to be in Ann Arbor this weekend. That’s a huge shift, as Marsh was originally scheduled to be visiting Oklahoma this weekend.
Oklahoma has been the perceived leader in this recruitment, and with this weekend being Marsh’s final scheduled visit, things are looking positive for the Wolverines. Something interesting to note here is that Marsh unofficially visited Ann Arbor just a few weeks ago on June 4th. The staff apparently did a pretty good job with him if he’s already coming back onto campus.
Marsh would be an absolutely huge land for the Wolverines. Michigan football has struggled mightily when it comes to recruiting receivers, and it’s easy to see why when watching their offense. However, with great quarterbacks in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes for Michigan football, wide receivers may be feeling a bit more comfortable with the Wolverines.
Michigan football is in desperate need of an elite playmaker at wide receiver, and after top 100 receiver Quincy Porter spurned the Wolverines for Ohio State, the need is even larger. Marsh would be Michigan’s first top-100 receiver commit since 2017.
This is definitely one to keep a close eye on this weekend. Michigan football can sell Marsh on the opportunity to earn early playing time and will do everything it can to secure a commitment. A big factor is that 2025 QB commit Carter Smith will be in Ann Arbor, so he’ll have a chance to recruit Marsh.
