Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have each other’s backs.
The Olympic gymnast and the Chicago Bears player officially met for the first time in March 2020, but they coincidentally crossed paths months before that.
In January 2022, Biles recounted the time she was invited to lead the Houston Texans out of the tunnel during a home football game in December 2019. Ironically, Owens could be seen in the background of her photos from that day.
“God works in mysterious ways,” Biles wrote, per a screenshot taken by the New York Post.
The couple tied the knot on April 22, 2023, at the Harris County Courthouse in Houston. A few weeks later, they hosted a second wedding celebration in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Recently, Owens cheered Biles on as she and Team USA won gold at the 2024 Olympics women’s gymnastics team finals.
