OHIO STATE OFFENSIVE TACKLE JOSH SIMMONS NO LONGER ATTENDING 2025 NFL DRAFT
    n

Although it’s projected to have a record-tying 15 draft picks, Ohio State won’t have any prospects in attendance for the 2025 NFL draft.

Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Simmons was on the initial list of players attending the NFL draft that was announced by the league last week, but is no longer attending the draft according to an updated list released by the league on Monday.

While Simmons is widely projected to be a first-round pick, some recent mock drafts have had Simmons falling into the early second round. None of Ohio State’s 15 projected draft selections are considered first-round locks, though wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, running back TreVeyon Henderson, offensive lineman Donovan Jackson and defensive tackle Tyleik Williams are among those also drawing first-round consideration.

With Simmons’ decision to watch the draft from home, it’s the first time since 2021 – when Justin Fields, Ohio State’s only first-round pick that year, chose to watch the draft at home with family rather than attend the draft in person – that Ohio State won’t have any players in attendance for the NFL draft.

The 2025 NFL draft is being held at Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers. The first round of the draft begins at 8 p.m. Thursday with Day 2 (Rounds 2-3) scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and Day 3 (Rounds 4-7) scheduled to start at noon Saturday. All seven rounds of the draft will be televised by ABC, ESPN and NFL Network, though ESPN’s coverage of Friday’s second and third rounds will air on ESPN2 due to the NBA playoffs.
