The SEC is expected to be the most competitive in college football in 2024 as Oklahoma and Texas join traditional powerhouses such as Georgia and Alabama.

However, other teams, such as LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Tennessee, expect to make an impact in the race for the conference championship. A caller on The Paul Finebaum Showasked Finebaum who his top three SEC teams were this season. He believes it’s Georgia, Texas, and Alabama.

As for Tennessee’s position in that group, Finebaum believes the Volunteers’ success will hinge on its game against Alabama.

“They have a road game at Georgia and at Oklahoma which I think both are problematic,” Finebaum said. “I think should Tennessee beat Alabama, that could change the arithmetic for ‘Bama and for Tennessee. I think it’ll come down to that game.”
