The Georgia Bulldogs will take the field for the 2026 season before fans even know it, and the latest sign that football is right around the corner arrives this week in Tampa, Florida.
SEC Media Days each and every year is always the mark of the unofficial start to football season, the final time coaches will really be heard from until right before the season, and most importantly the sign that pads and helmets are not far behind.
With recruiting starting to wrap up for 2027 at this point and fall camp looming, seeing Kirby Smart take the podium along with three key program stars is just going to be the latest sign that the season is coming. Here is what fans can look forward to hearing, and who they can look forward to hearing it from.
Gunner Stockton, Drew Bobo and Raylen Wilson Will Represent Program
Perhaps there are no real surprises here between arguably the three most key veterans for the Bulldogs coming to Tampa with their head coach, but it does feel notable that this is who Smart chose to bring with him. Stockton was a no-brainer, but beyond him, Bobo and Wilson are arguably the leaders of their respective sides of the ball, and this has never been more of a player-led program.
Despite the fact that Georgia has not accomplished its ultimate goal in the last three years, these three players have been along for the good and the bad, and they are the perfect trio to represent the program. In all likelihood, they will not produce any major sound bites, but that is exactly the way Smart and fans should want it.
