Vitello’s contract is a lucrative one. Starting with a $350,000 base salary, he earns this amount just for holding the position. On top of that, he receives an additional $1,150,000in “Supplemental Pay,” a figure tied to the university’s broadcast and consultation deals. This brings his guaranteed annual earnings to $1.5 million. But there’s more. Vitello also pockets 75% of the university’s bat and equipment endorsement revenue over $100,000, adding another layer to his income.
