Tenn. (WATE) — Lady Vols guard Tess Darby announced on social media that she is using her COVID year and returning to Tennessee for the 2024-25 season.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to represent a university that I love and one that has blessed me so much,” Darby explained on her post. “I’m so excited about the future of Lady Vol Basketball and thrilled to spend my final college season on Rocky Top! GBO!”
During her senior season, Darby averaged 5.2 points per game, while shooting 32.4% from 3-point range.
Darby is the second of three seniors to announce her intentions with the COVID year. Tamari Key decided to pass on her extra year of eligibility. Jewel Spear initially planned to return but has not come to a decision since the coaching change.
