Team USA sprinter Gabby Thomas rushed over to her boyfriend, Spencer McManes, after her gold medal-winning performance in the 200m final.
The 27-year-old, who dominated the event at the 2024 Paris Games, was seen celebrating with the entrepreneur on Tuesday night.
After crossing the finish line, Thomas wrapped an American flag around her shoulders and ran over to her friends and family in the stands.
She was seen hugging McManes, who donned a Team Gabby shirt, after he threw his hands in the air and cheered for his girlfriend of almost two years.
The Harvard graduate denied silver medalist Julien Alfred from completing a remarkable sprint double, after she won the 100m event over the weekend.
Thomas previously took bronze in Tokyo and silver in last year’s world championships, but she was in control throughout the final in Paris, coming home in 21.83 seconds.
Alfred was a clear second with a time of 22.08, with Brittany Brown taking bronze for the US in 20.20
Thomas arrived in Paris with the world’s fastest time this season of 21.78 and made an statement in Monday’s semi-finals when she pulled away from the field with ease over the final 50m to cross the line smiling in 21.86 seconds.
She’s had a major support crew behind her at the event, including McManes’ entire family.
Much like Thomas, McManes has an athletic background.
He attended the prestigious Yale University where he was the Bulldogs quarterback, and graduated with a bachelor of arts in political science and government.
Thomas blew the rest of the field away and stormed to victory after a dominant season.
