After Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese confirmed that she’s out for the remainder of the 2024 WNBA season due to a wrist injury, rumors alleging she’s pregnant started to circulate online.
Several people claimed that the wrist injury is just a cover for Reese and that the real reason for her rather sudden absence is that she’s having a baby. Others pointed out how her injury came out of nowhere and at such a weird time in the season.
Before the baseless accusations could get out of hand, Reese decided to address the matter on her Instagram Live on Sunday, September 8. After talking about the real cause of her injury, the Sky All-Star proceeded to refute the pregnancy buzz and emphasized that she has no plans of having kids any time soon.
Reese also confirmed that she’s not dating anyone despite recent rumors that suggest otherwise.
“I’m not pregnant, that was never a thing,” Reese said.
“I want to make this crystal, crystal, crystal clear: I don’t have a man to have kids; I don’t have a ring to have kids; I’m 22 with no kids, and I’m not coming home to kids. So that’s not gonna be a thing any time soon.”

Angel Reese is dealing with a “small crack” in a bone in her right hand. While the doctors offered her an option not to undergo surgery, the Sky forward opted to have one since there are more risks involved with not getting it.
The 22-year-old WNBA rebounding leader for the 2024 campaign is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday. Reese shared she will have a cast on her hand for six weeks before she can go back to doing her usual routine.
