Byron Louis gave Seminole fans a large boost after the team notched its first victory of 2024 against Cal, when he announced his pledge to FSU, but he has now decided to continue his career in Gainesville.
Louis is a 5’11, 200 pound running back who plays for American Heritage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FSU defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain’s old stomping grounds).
FSU initially managed to hold off significant pushes from the Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Wisconsin Badgers, and Miami Hurricanes to land Louis, who chose the Seminoles over 30 offers from the likes of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Kentucky Wildcats, Michigan Wolverines, Oklahoma Sooners, ole Miss Rebels, Penn state Nittany lions, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, USC Trojans, and Wisconsin Badgers.
