The Las Vegas Raiders are in a privileged position right now.
As things stand now, they will likely get either the No. 1 or No. 2 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
They have several issues to address on their roster, but getting to pick first overall gives them a chance to solve the most glaring one: The quarterback position.
Notably, it seems like that’s exactly what they will do.
In a recent interview with The Athletic, team owner Mark Davis hinted at getting a signal-caller:
“You’re always looking for a quarterback,” Davis said. “There’s no question about it.”
He also claimed that the team would have to consult with GM Tom Telesco and new minority owner Tom Brady.
There have been mixed reviews about HC Antonio Pierce, and there’s still no word on whether he’ll continue to be the boss next season.
Recently, a clip of NFL legend Deion Sanders urging him to draft his son, Shedeur, went viral, and he’s the likeliest candidate to arrive in Sin City.
Shedeur also flirted with Raiders fans by recording Allegiant Stadium while on a trip to Las Vegas, which doesn’t seem like much of a coincidence.
Sanders is penciled in as the No. 1 pick, and the Raiders have his father’s blessing, which could go a long way in this industry.
We’ve already seen players coming from an NFL lineage, such as Eli Manning, handpick the team that drafts them, and it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see the Raiders going after the Colorado standout
