Another former LSU Tiger revealed his transfer portal destination. Safety Jordan Allen will be transferring to Houston, as announced by the Cougars on social media.
According to ESPN, Allen was a four-star in LSU’s 2022 recruiting class. Other major services ranked Allen as a three-star. After three years at LSU, Allen opted to explore options elsewhere.
Allen began the year as LSU’s starting safety, playing 53 snaps against USC and 35 against Nicholls. As the season progressed, Allen was phased out of the rotation as he dealt with injuries
Per PFF, Allen finished 2024 with 111 snaps, recording nine tackles and registering a stop. In coverage, Allen was targeted five times and allowed four receptions.
Allen was one of several LSU safeties to hit the portal after the 2024 regular season, delivering a blow to LSU’s depth at the position. He was joined in the portal by Kylin Jackson and Sage Ryan.
Jackson is headed to TCU, while Ryan joined Ole Miss’ transfer class.
The Tigers are also losing safety Major Burns to graduation, meaning the room will have a different look next year.
