Former TCU quarterback Hauss Hejny is set to transfer to Oklahoma State.
The freshman took a redshirt season in 2024 and has four years of eligibility remaining. Hejny appeared in four games, rushing for 65 yards on 15 carries and did not attempt a pass.
The 6-foot, 190-pound quarterback entered the transfer portal Dec. 22 and followed Doug Meacham to Stillwater.
Hejny was a consenus four-star recruit out of Aledo High School, where he won Texas state championships as a junior and senior. A dual threat quarterback, he rushed for 2,300 yards and 28 touchdowns in those seasons.
OSU will be replacing Alan Bowman, who threw for 5,883 yards, 31 touchdowns and 26 interceptions over the past two seasons.
Cowboys backup Garret Rangel has two years of eligibility remaining. He started in the BYU game before breaking his collarbone in the first half.
Zane Flores, another highly-touted prospect, has not taken a snap for the Pokes in two years. He suffered a mysterious season-ending lower leg injury.
And Maealiuaki Smith started the last two games for the Pokes with mixed results. The true freshman retained his redshirt and has four years of eligibility remaining, as well.
Michael Diatta joins revamped defensive line
It has become clear reassembling the defensive line was Oklahoma State’s top priority in the transfer portal – and for good reason.
That continued with the addition of former Virginia defensive tackle Michael Diatta. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound super senior recorded a career-high 29 this past season. He has 2.5 sacks in his career.
Kobe Hylton enters transfer portal
Oklahoma State safety Kobe Hylton entered the transfer portal.
Hylton was one of the most experienced defensive backs on the OSU roster, but he was expected to leave the team, regardless. However, the recent waiver to JUCO players gave him another season of eligibility. He has opted to use that final year elsewhere.
Hylton previously played at Long Island University, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and UTEP.
He appeared in all 12 games and started the last eight for the Cowboys, making 40 tackles, two pass breakups and an interception.
