ATHENS – Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogshave offered another quarterback in the 2025 class.
Mike Bobo and the staff have one quarterback on the commit list in four-star Ryan Montgomery, and originally, the plan was just to take one quarterback in this class. However, with the staff wanting to add more depth, along with Montgomery’s current injury, it appears the Dawgs are looking to add another.
They extended an offer this fall to current Cal commitment and Hawaii native, Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, and now they’ve offered current Mississippi State commitment, KaMario Taylor.
According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs have -500 odds to make the College Football Playoffsnext month.
The 6-foot-3 205-pounder out of Noxubee County (MS) has been committed to the in-state Bulldogs for over a year now.
A true dual-threat quarterback having an excellent senior season, Taylor has thrown for just under 2,000 yards this fall with 29 touchdown passes and just four INTs. However, he’s just completing 56% of his passes. On the ground, Taylor has rushed for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns, hitting the 100-yard mark four times.
As a prospect, he’s a lean, physically gifted quarterback with promising arm talent. The ball zips out of his hands, but he has a long way to go as far as his development as a passer. Still, his athleticism and ability to make plays with his feet makes him tough to handle for opposing defenses. He runs well for his size and is big enough to break tackles down the field.
The natural talent is there. He’s a playmaker. He can sling the ball around. He just needs to refine his technique and continue understanding the position. He’s all potential, but the potential is there.
Taylor is ranked as the No. 10 QB prospect and the No. 110 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.
