Another former walk-on went on scholarship for the South Carolina football team.
Senior Colin Bryant, who has played on special teams and at linebacker, earned a scholarship from the Gamecocks. South Carolina posted a video of Bryant getting the news he would go on scholarship on Wednesday.
USC players mobbed Bryant after getting the news.
Bryant is an in-state product after playing at Wando High School in Mount Pleasant. He walked on at Alabama after high school before joining the Gamecocks the following season in 2022.
Bryant has appeared in 21 games for the Gamecocks, including all 13 last season. He has been a big contributor on special teams and recovered an onside kick against his former team Alabama.
Bryant had six tackles last season.
