OKLAHOMA CITY — The Houston Rockets signed third-year forward David Roddy to a two-way contract Monday, the day before the NBA’s deadline to sign two-way players.

Roddy most recently was on a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers but was waived Feb. 28 when the 76ers signed Jalen Hood-Schifino to a two-way instead.
Roddy was a first-round pick out of Colorado State in the 2022 NBA draft, selected No. 23 overall by the 76ers on behalf of the Memphis Grizzlies. The 6-foot-4 forward signed a rookie-scale contract with the Grizzlies and spent the 2022-23 season and part of the next season in Memphis, then later played for Phoenix, Atlanta and Philadelphia.
In 165 career NBA games, he has averaged 6.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists on 42.2% shooting, 30.5% on 3-pointers.
