REPORT: Georgia Dealt Good News This Weekend on Projected $393,000 Star……

The Georgia Bulldogs are yet to secure a commitment from a five-star prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, but one such player provided them with a boost over the weekend.

Cornerback Brandon Arrington (La Mesa, Calif.) out of Mount Miguel is set to visit Georgia on March 21.

Arrington, the top-ranked cornerback and 12th overall player in On3’s industry rankings, has received over 40 offers. Despite having not yet visited Athens, Arrington offered the Bulldogs encouragement that they could eventually emerge as the victor of a fiercely contested recruiting battle and give their defensive backfield a huge boost for 2026 and beyond.

Speaking to On3, Arrington said he has narrowed his list down to six schools, with Georgia among them.

“Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M and USC are my top schools,” Arrington said.

“I am about relationships and who’s been in it with me. These six schools have recruited me hard, I can see myself at any of these schools and they all know how to develop players.”

On the timeline for a potential decision, Arrington, who has an On3 NIL valuation of $393,000, added: “I will look to finalize my official visits and I am hoping to visit most, if not all six schools on my list this spring.

All six schools are recruiting me hard, they all want me on campus and all six have a shot.

“After my official visits, I am probably going to cut my list down to four schools, then commit to one. Like this list, my commitment will come down to relationships, development and being in a place where I want to be.”

The Bulldogs have a strong history of sending defensive backs to the NFL, with three members of the Georgia secondary being drafted last year. Safety Malaki Starks is in the mix to go in the first round this year.

Renowned for having a dominant defense season after season, Arrington clearly sees Georgia as a place where he can realize his massive potential. The Bulldogs will hope to confirm that belief when he visits later this month.
