Zane Rowe, once a highly touted 2027 commit for Oklahoma, recently made a return visit to Norman, and by his own account, it felt just as familiar and welcoming as ever. Despite decommitting last year to explore other options, Rowe spoke highly of his latest experience with the Sooners, leaving the door open for a potential reunion.
“It was like being at home,” Rowe said. “From the coaches to the players, everything just felt right. I’ve been here before, but every time I come back, I feel the same love and support.”
The talented prospect, known for his explosiveness and versatility on the field, has been drawing heavy interest from multiple powerhouse programs, making his recruiting journey one of the most closely watched in the 2027 class. While Oklahoma remains a strong contender, Rowe has also visited schools like Texas, Alabama, and Georgia, keeping his options open.
When asked about where things stand with the Sooners, Rowe didn’t rule anything out. “We’ll see what happens. I’m taking my time with this, but OU is definitely still in the mix.”
Oklahoma fans will be keeping a close eye on Rowe’s next steps, hoping that the sense of home he felt in Norman might ultimately lead to his return.
