The Detroit Red Wings have signed forward Eduards Tralmaks to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2025-26 season, the team announced today. The deal will allow Tralmaks to move between the NHL and AHL as needed, providing depth and flexibility for the organization. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Tralmaks, 27, has spent the past several seasons developing in the AHL, most recently with the Grand Rapids Griffins, where he showcased his scoring ability and physical presence. Originally undrafted, the 6-foot-4, 209-pound winger played collegiately at the University of Maine before turning pro in 2021. He has since carved out a reputation as a hardworking, two-way forward with a strong net-front presence and a heavy shot.
Last season, Tralmaks posted career-high numbers in the AHL, registering 18 goals and 22 assists for 40 points in 68 games. His performance earned him a brief call-up to the NHL, where he appeared in three games with the Red Wings, recording his first career assist.
With Detroit continuing to build a competitive roster, Tralmaks will have an opportunity to compete for a roster spot at training camp. His size, versatility, and scoring touch could make him a valuable asset in the team’s bottom-six forward group.
