Jourdan Blake has been appointed as the new Director of Player Personnel for the University of Notre Dame’s football program. Blake joins the Fighting Irish after serving as the Associate Director of Player Personnel and High School Relations at the University of Colorado since 2023, where he played a key role in leading and managing high school and transfer scouting efforts.
Prior to his tenure at Colorado, Blake amassed significant experience in recruiting operations. He served as the Director of Recruiting Operations at Southern Methodist University (SMU) from 2022 to 2023, and as Recruiting Coordinator at Texas Christian University (TCU) in 2022. Additionally, he held the position of Recruiting Coordinator at SMU from 2019 to 2021.
Blake’s background as a player includes time as a cornerback at Baylor University, followed by a graduate transfer to SMU, where he concluded his collegiate playing career in 2018. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Baylor and a master’s degree in Sports Management and Administration from SMU.
In his new role at Notre Dame, Blake will collaborate closely with General Manager Mike Martin and Director of Recruiting Carter Auman. The university anticipates making additional hires to bolster the recruiting department in the near future.
Blake’s appointment is part of a broader effort by Notre Dame to enhance its recruiting and personnel staff. The Fighting Irish recently announced the additions of Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa as Director of Recruiting Advancement and Ariella Ellis as Director of On-Campus Recruiting. Tagovailoa-Amosa, a former Notre Dame defensive lineman and team captain in 2021, returns to the program after serving as a graduate assistant at Louisiana State University (LSU). Ellis brings experience from her previous role as Football Operations Director at Virginia State University.
These strategic hires reflect Notre Dame’s commitment to strengthening its recruiting operations and supporting the football program’s continued success.
