Brice Williams, a standout guard for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, has delivered an exceptional performance in the 2024-2025 season, culminating in a championship victory at the inaugural College Basketball Crown Tournament. Williams led the tournament with 93 points, setting a new single-season scoring record for Nebraska with a total of 713 points, surpassing the previous record of 708 points held by James Palmer Jr. from the 2018-2019 season.
Throughout the tournament, Williams consistently showcased his scoring prowess, including a career-high 43-point game in a double-overtime loss to Ohio State. His performance earned him the Big Ten Player of the Week honors twice during the season.
The Cornhuskers’ victory in the College Basketball Crown Tournament provided a positive conclusion to a season that had its challenges. The team overcame a mid-season slump, winning six of their final seven games, with Williams’ leadership being a pivotal factor in their resurgence.
