Only days after adding Iowa transfer Jena Young, the Alabama Crimson Tide have landed yet another player through the portal in former Houston Cougars two-way player Brooke Wells.
Wells announced her commitment to the Crimson Tide via a post on social media Saturday afternoon.
At Houston, Wells saw time as both a pitched and infielder during the 2025 season as a freshman, a majority coming as the latter. Across 47 games, Wells slashed .341/.478/.645 for Houston with 10 home runs and 47 RBI offensively.
As a pitcher, Wells made nine appearances for Houston in which she owned a 1-1 record with a 4.91 ERA and 9:13 K:BB ratio across 15.2 innings pitched. Wells also had one save, and held opponents to a combined .203 AVG against.
The Houston transfer is Alabama‘s second portal addition so far this offseason, joined by the aforementioned Young.
