Nebraska Cornhuskers news: Regrets, revenge plans, and a brutal takedown
The most significant piece of news in the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ world comes from someone who is no longer a part of that world. Scott Frost opened his gob this week and once again decided it was time to trash the Nebraska football program.
At the Big 12 media days, Frost, who is now the head coach of the UCF Knights was asked if he had any regrets about his time in Lincoln. Because the man refuses to take accountability for anything, his answer was somewhat predictable.
The former Nebraska Cornhuskers’ head coach said that his only honest regret is that he took the Huskers job at all. He then went into a lengthy diatribe about how he never wanted itand was pressured into by “outside forces.” More than a few Nebraska fans are now actively rooting for UCF to go 0-12 this season.
Nebraska Cornhuskers trying to flip FSU commit Tedarius Hughes
Matt Rhule has lost a few recruiting battles in the last week or two, but he’s not letting that get him down. Instead, he’s moving onto Plan B and that means trying to flip Florida State’s 4-star defensive back commit Tedarious Hughes.
What’s most interesting about this move is that it means Rhule is going up against his old defensive coordinator in a recruiting battle. Tony White is now the DC trying to hold onto Hughes.
Scott Frost called ‘second fiddle’ by ESPN radio analyst
It’s not just Nebraska Cornhuskers fans who are more than a little annoyed with Scott Frost’s continued passing of the buck regarding his time at the helm of the Huskers. ESPN radio personality Matt Schick recently laid into the UCF coach, saying that the NU job was simply too big for him.
Schick went on to say, “He needs to be in a placelike Orlando where you’re always second fiddle to Mickey Mouse.”
