The conversation surrounding Kalen DeBoer‘s gameday attire has carried over into his second season at the helm of Alabama football. This year, a Crimson Tide player has already come to his defense.
Over the weekend, Shon Harvey, a University of Alabama alum and Crimson Tide superfan, was moving her daughter into campus, but made sure to take time to stop by the Supe Store and give DeBoer some fashion advice.
We’re going to step away from the t-shirts with the thin print,” Harvey said in a TikTok video. “We gonna step it up.”
Next up was a “standard polo,”a solid Crimson collared Nike shirt featuring the classic Script ‘A’. Harvey even suggested a striped Nike polo, should DeBoer “wanna be a little jazzy.”
“Again, not sure what size you wear, but I’m guessing you might be a large or something like that, so holler at me in the comments. I’m happy to get it for you while I’m down here moving my daughter in,” Harvey said.
Shirts weren’t all on the recommended list of items. Harvey acknowledged she knew that coaches have a selection of hats they’re provided, but offered to pick up some new lids to go with DeBoer’s revamped wardrobe.
Last came probably the most cutting offer of them all.
“And then I can run by Target and get you a set of wife beaters for the undershirt, you know, so we can cover up the indiscretional areas,” Harvey said.
Alas, one Alabama football freshman was quick to stand up for DeBoer in the comment section.
Defensive back Brody McCutcheon from Moody, Ala. left the following (unpunctuated) response:
“Yall worried about the wrong stuff let Debo do Debo I promise yall when we champs in January nobody gonna care.”

There were 11 likes in support of McCutcheon, but the 128 other comments from Crimson Tide fans were on Harvey’s side.
