Newcastle In Good Form – Deservedly Beat Fulham…

Newcastle defeated Fulham at Craven Cottage tonight thanks to goals from Sean Longstaff, an excellent opportunist, after 39 minutes, and Dan Burn, who was excellent tonight, after 61 minutes.

And the FA Cup has advanced to the fifth round, or the final 16.

There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing two hometown boys in the scoring column, especially because they had a spotless record.

The first goal was contentious since Guimaraes’ arm appeared to have touched the ball, but Sean Longstaff’s confident finish just inside the post was excellent.

Eddie Howe was looking for a better performance from our players after they had taken a few weeks off from their regular demanding schedule, and the boys delivered just that.

It’s an away victory as well, so if we can maintain this level of play and, ideally, earn some favorable FA Cup draws, Newcastle might have a respectable season after all.

Following seven changes from the team that lost to Liverpool on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup, Fulham manager Marco Silva’s team appeared disorganized and out of sorts.Dan Burns vs Fulah

However, Newcastle was playing close to their peak, and we once more had a lot of energy. It appears that the two-week hiatus had the lads a lot of good.

Newcastle’s next match is a difficult away Premier League match at Aston Villa, and we need to win again there—this time against the team that is presently fourth in the standings.
