The New York Knicks are Shaking things up.
Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Knicks plan to sign former Detroit Piston Shake Milton to help combat the plethora of injuries on their roster. Once he clears waivers, Milton will be eligible to appear on the playoff roster, which previously picked up fellow former Detroiters Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks.
Milton, 27, is best known for spending five seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he landed shortly after his NBA entry with the Dallas Mavericks as a second round pick (54th overall) in the 2018 draft out of Southern Methodist. Amidst the Sixers’ recent playoff runs, Milton served as a staple off the bench, notably averaging 13 points and 3.1 assists during the 2020-21 season en route to earning votes for the Sixth Man of the Year Award.
