The Seattle Seahawks roster could look very different this season. Potential free agent losses and acquisitions will most likely come with the new Mike Macdonald coaching staff – especially on defense. And two players he coached last season in Baltimore could be on the move. Set to become free agents – among others – on the March 13 beginning of the new league year are Baltimore Ravens linebacker Patrick Queen and safety Geno Stone.
Salary cap issues could prohibit Baltimore from signing one or both, and SBNation thinks Queen and Stone would be “free agent fits” in Seattle.
GENO STONE — S — BALTIMORE RAVENS Stone entered the league as a seventh-round pick in 2020 and had a breakout season in 2023, ranking second in interceptions with seven, the most among safeties and second-most in the NFL. Stone is No. 106 on The Athletic’s top 150. He turns 25 in April. Stone will be entering his fifth season in the league in 2024 and had a career year in 2023. Last year’s seven interceptions led the team, as did his 101 interception return yards. He also recorded 68 total tackles with 44 solo and nine passes defended.
