Wigan have rewarded head coach Matt Peet, and his assistants Sean O’Loughlin and Thomas Leuluai, with contract extensions until at least the end of the 2030 season.
The trio inspired the club to regain the Super League title last season and they went on to win the World Club Challenge with victory over Penrith at the DW Stadium last month.
Peet, who rose through the club’s coaching ranks to become head coach in 2022, had already signed a new deal keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027 season in September last year.
Peet said: “The opportunity to continue leading this team of players and staff is a special responsibility and one that makes me very proud.
“I am delighted to extend my contract. To have the expertise and friendship of Sean and Tommy beside me is a great source of strength.”
Wigan’s crowning triumph, led by their Australian ‘Man of Steel’ winner Bevan French, came in February with their hard-fought 16-12 win over the Panthers for a record-equalling fifth victory in the World Club Challenge.
