Atlanta Braves announcer makes ‘Hawk Tuah’ joke on-air after Cardinals player spits on his shoulder

An Atlanta Braves announcer referenced the now-viral meme on Wednesday night when the team took on the Cardinals at Busch Stadium.

During the second inning, the Braves’ commentators were discussing some saliva that slipped out of Alec Burleson’s mouth.

As he was sitting there he went to spit,’ one of the announcers began.

‘A little humid out, I guess, and mouth getting a little bit dry, didn’t quite clear his arm and just landed right on the shoulder,’ he went on, referencing the saliva landing on the St. Louis outfielder’s arm.
