Former Penn State Wrestling Star David Taylor Returns to Competition Taylor, now the wrestling coach at Oklahoma State, will compete again at the 2024 U.S. World Team Trials. David Taylor, the most successful international wrestler in Penn State history, evidently didn’t retire at the U.S. Olympic Trials in April. The three-time world champ and Olympic gold medalist returns to the mat this weekend at the 2024 U.S. Senior World Team Trials in Omaha, Nebraska. The Big Ten has finalized the brackets for the 2025 wrestling championships. The two-day event will be held Saturday and Sunday at Northwestern . Penn State is sending all 10 starters to Evanston. During three seasons with the Sooners, Lilio played in 88 games, making 12 starts, and hit .211 with two home runs and 14 RBIs.
