Rapper DaBaby has confirmed that he is working with the Carolina Panthers to come up with a modern theme song. The current unofficial theme song is North Carolina by Petey Pablo, but that song was recorded in 2001. This isn’t a common occurrence, as most sports teams don’t have actual theme songs. However, DaBaby is from the Charlotte area and currently lives in Troutman, about a half hour outside of Charlotte. He’s also a pretty big Panthers fan, and he wants to be the one to bring a new anthem to Panthers fans everywhere. Charlotte isn’t exactly a big market…
15 years ago, Stephen Garcia’s play at South Carolina against Alabama turned him into a Gamecock legend. Now, his son Memphys is trying to write his own story as a quarterback. On Wednesday, Memphys, a class of 2026 college football prospect from Lutz, Fla., shared on Twitter/X that he’s earned an Elite 11 Regional invite. “He’s finally starting to turn his brain on and realize his potential,” Stephen told GamecockCentral. “It’s always hard being the parent because usually sons don’t listen that well. I didn’t really listen to my dad and still sometimes I don’t. But, I’ve been hard…
South Carolina’s search for its first SEC win continues after a heartbreaking 66-63 loss at Vanderbilt on Wednesday night, where a season-worst 25 turnovers ultimately proved too much to overcome despite a valiant second-half effort. Morris Ugusuk scored a career-high 20 points and Collin Murray-Boyles added 14, but the Gamecocks (10-7, 0-4 SEC) couldn’t overcome their sloppiest offensive performance in recent memory. The 25 turnovers were the most by any SEC team in a conference game over the last three seasons. Despite the miscues, South Carolina had multiple chances to steal a road victory late. After Murray-Boyles knocked down two…

We’re less than a week into the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offseason, but we’re already reaching peak levels of rumor mill speculation. Nothing can happen until the new league year begins in March, but that hasn’t stopped some folks from getting a head start on things. Almost as soon as the season ended, Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill poured fuel on speculation that he wasn’t happy in Miami by saying he wants out. Since then everyone has been trying to figure out ideal landing spots for him, and the Bucs keep finding themselves pulled into the middle of the mess. …

5 offseason questions for Texas A&M: Will Aggies’ transfer class make an impact? A&M looks to build upon an 8-5 campaign in coach Mike Elko’s debut season in Aggieland. What started as a successful dive into coach Mike Elko’s first year at the helm of Texas A&M football in 2024 sank to a disappointing finish with an 8-5 showing and a defeat in the Las Vegas Bowl. The Aggies had high hopes in the first season of the 12-team College Football Playoff, but there are a number of reasons for those postseason aspirations to persist into 2025. {“uid”:0.4457701766776818,”hostPeerName”:”https://www.dallasnews.com”,”initialGeometry”:”{\”windowCoords_t\”:0,\”windowCoords_r\”:390,\”windowCoords_b\”:679,\”windowCoords_l\”:0,\”frameCoords_t\”:2859,\”frameCoords_r\”:196,\”frameCoords_b\”:2860,\”frameCoords_l\”:195,\”posCoords_t\”:2088,\”posCoords_b\”:2089,\”posCoords_r\”:196,\”posCoords_l\”:195,\”styleZIndex\”:\”\”,\”allowedExpansion_r\”:389,\”allowedExpansion_b\”:678,\”allowedExpansion_t\”:0,\”allowedExpansion_l\”:0,\”yInView\”:0,\”xInView\”:1}”,”permissions”:”{\”expandByOverlay\”:true,\”expandByPush\”:true,\”readCookie\”:false,\”writeCookie\”:false}”,”metadata”:”{\”shared\”:{\”sf_ver\”:\”1-0-40\”,\”ck_on\”:1,\”flash_ver\”:\”26.0.0\”,\”canonical_url\”:\”https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-am-aggies/2025/01/16/5-offseason-questions-for-texas-am-will-aggies-transfer-class-make-an-impact/\”,\”amp\”:{\”canonical_url\”:\”https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-am-aggies/2025/01/16/5-offseason-questions-for-texas-am-will-aggies-transfer-class-make-an-impact/\”}}}”,”reportCreativeGeometry”:false,”isDifferentSourceWindow”:false,”sentinel”:”0-40162619114195221963″,”width”:300,”height”:250,”_context”:{“ampcontextVersion”:”2410292120000″,”ampcontextFilepath”:”https://3p.ampproject.net/2410292120000/ampcontext-v0.js”,”sourceUrl”:”https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-am-aggies/2025/01/16/5-offseason-questions-for-texas-am-will-aggies-transfer-class-make-an-impact/?outputType=amp”,”referrer”:”https://www.google.com/”,”canonicalUrl”:”https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-am-aggies/2025/01/16/5-offseason-questions-for-texas-am-will-aggies-transfer-class-make-an-impact/”,”pageViewId”:”6741″,”location”:{“href”:”https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-am-aggies/2025/01/16/5-offseason-questions-for-texas-am-will-aggies-transfer-class-make-an-impact/?outputType=amp”},”startTime”:1737056193510,”tagName”:”AMP-AD”,”mode”:{“localDev”:false,”development”:false,”esm”:false,”test”:false,”rtvVersion”:”012410292120000″},”canary”:false,”hidden”:false,”initialLayoutRect”:{“left”:195,”top”:2088,”width”:1,”height”:1},”domFingerprint”:”2375862576″,”experimentToggles”:{“canary”:false,”a4aProfilingRate”:false,”doubleclickSraExp”:false,”doubleclickSraReportExcludedBlock”:true,”flexAdSlots”:false,”flexible-bitrate”:false,”ios-fixed-no-transfer”:false,”story-ad-placements”:false,”story-disable-animations-first-page”:true,”story-load-inactive-outside-viewport”:true,”amp-sticky-ad-to-amp-ad-v4″:false,”story-video-cache-apply-audio”:false,”amp-story-subscriptions”:true,”interaction-to-next-paint”:true,”amp-story-first-page-max-bitrate”:false,”story-load-first-page-only”:true,”story-ad-page-outlink”:false,”amp-geo-ssr”:true,”story-remote-localization”:true,”attribution-reporting”:false},”sentinel”:”0-40162619114195221963″},”initialIntersection”:{“time”:512902.00000000006,”rootBounds”:{“left”:0,”top”:0,”width”:390,”height”:679,”bottom”:679,”right”:390,”x”:0,”y”:0},”boundingClientRect”:{“left”:195,”top”:1317,”width”:1,”height”:1,”bottom”:1318,”right”:196,”x”:195,”y”:1317},”intersectionRect”:{“left”:0,”top”:0,”width”:0,”height”:0,”bottom”:0,”right”:0,”x”:0,”y”:0},”intersectionRatio”:0}}” height=”1″…

The Miami Hurricanes solved their quarterback situation on Friday when they secured the services of former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck through the transfer portal. While some panned the move as Miami obtaining just a mediocre quarterback, it appears that interest from two of the biggest names in college football proved that was not the case. According to USA Today college football writer Matt Hayes, both Georgia and Alabama reached out to Beck before he committed to Miami. Hayes notes that the first team and coach to reach out to Beck after his decision to enter the transfer portal was…
