The former Florida State Seminole coach is continuing to climb the ranks as a coach. The Florida State Seminoles have a former coach climbing the ranks outside of Tallahassee. While they have a revamped coaching staff themselves, one former coach and storied football player has landed a new role. For the Seminoles, there is plenty of work to be done both on the recruiting trail and in the transfer portal as they are in major need of a turnaround after they posted a 2-10 record, which was absolutely abysmal after going 13-1 in 2023. Brandon Harris, a former defensive analyst…
Leo Thompson, one of the NRL’s most sought-after young forwards, has signed a four-year deal with the Canterbury Bulldogs starting in 2026. The 24-year-old Kiwi international turned down a lucrative $3.5 million offer from the Canberra Raiders and a conditional extension from the Newcastle Knights to join a Bulldogs side that has emerged as a NRL premiership contender under coach Cameron Ciraldo. Thompson’s decision marks a significant boost for the Bulldogs, who made the finals in 2024 and have been aggressively reshaping their roster. The college football playoffs have wrapped up another round and Florida fans watching over the past couple of days probably took note of the outcomes from around the country. The following are three things we took note of watching the action this week. The SEC is wide open in 2025 Bowl season and the playoffs have not been kind to the SEC. While Florida did win its bowl game over Tulane, the conference is now 1-4 against the Big Ten in bowl games and had two of the three entrants to the playoffs lose their first game. Last week, we…
The Carolina Panthers defense has had a pretty rough 2024 season – but it hasn’t been all bad, all the time by any means. Last week’s humiliating blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was the worst they’ve been all year, but in their defense they were missing key pieces at all three levels of their defense. Truthfully, this unit has been significantly better this year since outside linebacker DJ Wonnum joined the lineup around midseason. In seven games with the Panthers, Wonnum has put up four sacks, six quarterback hits, four tackles for a loss and 11 pressures. That’s…

Prior to LSU, Fitch spent three years as an offensive analyst at Ohio State, working…
Owings Mills, Md. • His eyeball felt like it would burst. In the first game of the NFL season, Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy pursued Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for a potential sack when he got too low. With his body prone and his arms at his sides, Van Noy’s helmet skidded in the grass, his chin strap slipped under his chin, and the top of his helmet came down over his eyes. Then Mahomes fell on Van Noy’s head and Ravens defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike fell on both of them. Van Noy’s eye socket took…
