BATON ROUGE — Backup LSU footballquarterback Rickie Collins plans to enter the transfer portal. News of Collins’ intention to leave the LSU program was first reported by On3 Sports Sunday afternoon. The transfer portal window doesn’t officially open until Dec. 9. But, when it does, Collins will be one of the first LSU players to enter their name into the portal. Collins was a former four-star prospect coming out of Woodlawn High School located in Baton Rouge and was the 18th best quarterback in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Marrow, who wears a variety of hats — associate head coach, tight ends coach, recruiting coordinator and NFL liaison — for the Wildcats, has been with the program since coach Mark Stoops’ debut campaign in 2013. The rivalry between the Kentucky Wildcatsand Louisville Cardinals will always show intense competitiveness between the two programs. This is due to their being in-state rivals and the battle for the Governor’s Cup trophy, a symbol of bragging rights and dominance in the Bluegrass State.
