Breaking news: Mark reveals why he’s picking Alabama football over Auburn in Iron Bowl……
Alabama football suffered a shocking 24-3 loss to Oklahoma last weekend and desperately needs to bounce back this Saturday in the Iron Bowl against Auburn. This Week 14 matchup is a must-win for the Crimson Tide if they’re going to have any shot at making the expanded College Football Playoff. Bama legend Mark Ingram clearly believes in his alma mater, explaining why he thinks the Tide will respond here and grab a statement win at home against a bitter rival. I see Alabama football getting back on track in this Iron Bowl, man,” Ingram said. “Cause there’s a lot of…
ORLANDO — Since moving to the United States from the Dominican Republic, Emely Rodriguez has made a habit of turning relatively unheralded basketball teams into championship contenders. As a high school junior, Rodriguez earned Miami Herald Miami-Dade Player of the Year honors after leading Horeb Christian to its first appearance in an FHSAA championship game. She moved north up the Turnpike to Kissimmee for her senior year and was a key piece in Central Pointe Academy’s SIAA title run. Now, the 6-foot wing is making an instant impact for a UCF team determined to make waves in its second Big…
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — If there is to be a football coaching change at UCF following a dismal 2024 campaign, the decision will come from above Gus Malzahn. Following Saturday evening’s 31-21 loss to West Virginia, one which resigned the Knights to their seventh loss in eight games and ended their consecutive bowl game streak at eight years, Malzahn refuted rumors floated earlier in the week that he could consider retirement. “Yeah, I don’t know where that came from. I’m not retiring,” the 59-year-old coach said. FootballScoop’s John Brice wrote Monday in his coaching carousel piece that it was “worth…
Breaking news: LSU Basketball To Be Without Daimion Collins For Significant Time, But……..
LSU basketball coach Matt McMahon is trying to remain optimistic that hard-luck junior forward Daimion Collins can return at some point this season after dislocating his right shoulder in the Tigers’ loss to Pittsburgh Friday at the Greenbrier Tip-Off in West Virginia. “It was a scary event there,” McMahon said Wednesday. “As we saw, he clearly dislocated his shoulder. He’s having testing done this week. Don’t have a timeline on it right now.” Collins, a redshirt junior forward (6-foot-9, 200), missed virtually all of last season with the same injury and had surgery on it. He was coming into his…
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry beat the Los Angeles Chargers in more ways than one this week. On Monday night, Henry rushed for 140 yards on just 24 carries to help the Ravens earn a crucial 30-23 win on the road. Apparently, that wasn’t good enough for the Chargers, though. After the game, Chargers star pass-rusher Khalil Mack hilariously claimed that it’s “not hard” to play against Henry, despite the star running back averaging nearly six yards per carry against Los Angeles. Even though the Chargers held Henry out of the end zone for the first time this season,…
BYU football will honor 20 seniors on Senior Nnight in their final regular season game against Houston. For this group, it’s been a journey of perseverance, growth and leadership that has carried the Cougars to an impressive 9-2 record in year two in the Big 12. “These guys are awesome,” said coach Kalani Sitake. “I love coaching these guys.” Of the 20 seniors, 17 have seen significant time on the field throughout the year. This team has relied on the senior class that went 5-7 last year and struggled in the first year of the Big 12. Photo by BYU…
