In a recent interview with USA Today Sports, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal shared his thoughts on the hype surrounding Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark in the WNBA. O’Neal was asked about Clark taking over the WNBA landscape and turning into one of the biggest stars in the league at just 22 years old. The basketball Hall of Famer believes everyone is trying to hype up Caitlin Clark and they need to “calm down.” O’Neal said Clark needs to earn her reign in the WNBA. The current NBA analyst thinks while Clark is great, she “ain’t that great yet.” “You gotta…
The pundits have had nothing but good things to say about Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever now that they’re in the midst of an absolute tear. The Fever are coming off a 104-100 overtime victory over the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, September 8, which marked their eighth win in 10 games played since the mid-season Olympic break. One analyst who has jumped on the Indiana hype train is ESPN’s Monica McNutt, who incidentally, wasn’t exactly the biggest Caitlin Clark fan earlier in the season. In fact, the former NCAA star took a lot of flack when she covered one…

Kyle Schwarber’s home run on Monday evening was a lot like the 279 that preceded it. The Philadelphia Phillies star blasted a 447-foot long ball to deep right center field that was a no doubter the instant it left his bat. But home run number 280 carried special significance in IU circles. With his Monday evening bomb, Schwarber now has more Major League Baseball home runs than any former Indiana University baseball player. He passed Ted Kluszewski, whose previous mark of 279 home runs stood for 63 years. Kluszewski hit his last MLB homer on Sept. 26, 1961. The home…
