Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff led a thrilling comeback win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, with a 25-22 victory at Ford Field. Goff threw for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the game-winner to tight end T.J. Hockenson with just 1:49 remaining. “We never gave up,” Goff said. “We knew we had the talent and the heart to win this game.” The Lions trailed 19-7 at halftime, but Goff led a fierce second-half rally, scoring 18 unanswered points. “This win is huge for us,” said Lions head coach Dan Campbell. “It shows we’re a team to be reckoned…

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever’s recent hot streak came to a screeching halt on Wednesday night against the Las Vegas Aces, as they suffered an 86-75 defeat. Clark certainly wasn’t at her best in this one (16 PTS, 6 AST, 3 REB, 6/22 FGM), as she struggled to make her typical impact for the Fever. However, if you ask Dave Portnoy, she may not have gotten much help from the referees throughout this game. While Portnoy acknowledged Clark didn’t have her best outing, he blasted the referees for an offensive foul they called on the star rookie during the…
Simone Biles is at it again, proving she’s the ultimate G.O.A.T. and never stops pushing the limits. On Wednesday, September 11, the 27-year-old Olympic legend took to Instagram Stories to show off a jaw-dropping new skill on the beam that she’s been perfecting ahead of the “Gold Over America Tour.” Rocking a casual black hoodie and shorts, Simone Biles stunned fans by flipping into an upside-down position on the beam and then spinning her body around twice. The Olympian not only flaunted her impressive new skill, but she gave a shoutout to fellow gymnast Skye Blakely.
The Baltimore Orioles owner believes his team will get the job done whether they win the division or not. The Baltimore Orioles are a half-game behind the first-place New York Yankees in the American League East, giving them an opportunity to still win the division with about three weeks left to play. The Orioles will take on the Yankees in a three-game set starting on Sept. 24, which will likely determine the winner. Outside of that series, Baltimore has a somewhat favorable schedule. However, the issue is they haven’t played well against teams they should be beating over the past…
That matched Suzuki’s career high, set last year. But Wicks could not hold the Dodgers down. In the bottom of the third, a walk, single and ground out put runners on second and third with one out. The next hitter was Ohtani. Do you intentionally pass him and pitch to Mookie Betts with the bases loaded? Craig Counsell doesn’t much believe in the IBB — he’s ordered only six this year. That’s tied for second-fewest in MLB with the Mets and Yankees. (The league average is 15, and the most this year is 29, by the A’s.) The Cubs chose…
An issue is developing for the Boston Red Sox heading into the 2025 season. It may be a good issue to have in theory, but it’s an issue nonetheless. The Red Sox simply have too many good outfielders on their team. They’ve got All-Stars. Excellent defenders. Pure power hitters. Top prospects. It’s almost become an embarrassment of riches for a Boston team that also traded away two World Series-winning outfielders in the past five years. Unfortunately, the Red Sox can only play three outfielders at a time, per the centuries-old rules of the sport they play. And with an impending…

Monday night’s result isn’t surprising, as the 49ers rolled to victory over Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers’ offense pushed the Jets’ defense around for four quarters, and their defense was stingy. But there were some surprises in Week 1, especially with the 49ers starters playing in their first extended action in 2024. Jordan Mason Mason’s success on the ground isn’t a surprise to 49ers fans. America may have finally discovered who Mason is, but fans know Mason can gain five-plus yards any time he touches the football. With Christian McCaffrey out for MNF,…
