Media Day with the Lady Vols basketball team means a chance to ask players several get-to-know-you questions and at least one about hoops. This 2023-24 series will continue with Kaiya Wynn. Cardoso’s fighting spirit stemmed from her upbringing in Brazil, where she dealt with bullying because of her size and needed to stand up for herself. A docuseries chronicling the 2023-24 college basketball season offered a behind-the-scenes look at the ex-South Carolina star’s personal life. The ESPN production “Full Court Press” follows Cardoso’s sensational conclusion to her NCAA tenure, which culminated in a national championship. It features enlightening interviews with her mother, Janete Soares, and sister, Jessica Cardoso Silva. “For me, it was really hard at the beginning [of my life] because they used to make fun of me, they used…
As Lynch explained to NBC Sports Bay Area last season when the 49ers had more than $41 million in cap space, there are few drawbacks to creating a big cap cushion. After all, unused dollars from one season roll over to the next year. “Really, we always look at the cap for three years out,” Lynch said early last season. “Obviously, we have all that room this year. But really it’s to create room for future years because we roll everything over. It helps us in future years because it creates some room we’re going to need.” The 49ers certainly…
If you’re not watching the WNBA, you might’ve missed Caitlin Clark making history on Wednesday night. The rookie sensation didn’t just break the record for most assists in a single game; she obliterated it, serving up 19 assists like it was a buffet. But wait, there’s more. She also casually dropped 24 points and snagged 6 rebounds, just to remind us why she’s the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year. Picture this: a sold-out arena in Arlington, every fan on the edge of their seat, and Clark, with the ball, pulling off a behind-the-back assist that had everyone questioning if…

So, we’ve gathered everything there is to know about Josh’s dating life! Josh was last publicly linked to Jocelyn Lara. While her online presence is limited, Jocelyn has a career in sports marketing. Although not much is known about Josh and Jocelyn’s relationship, the…
Pete Rose (born April 14, 1941, Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.) is a professional baseball player who in 1985 exceeded Ty Cobb’s record for career hits (4,189). During his career, Rose was noted for his all-around ability and enthusiasm. He was named Player of the Decade (1970–79) by The Sporting News. At the end of his career, he became better known for the accusations of gambling that led Major League Baseball to ban him from the sport in 1989.
Whenever Twins righthander Pablo Lopez stepped onto the mound this postseason or Marlins second baseman Luis Arraez stepped to the plate, broadcasters immediately seem compelled to note they were swapped for each other last offseason in “one of those trades that helped both teams.” Arraez was great. Lopez was great. Everyone benefitted. This was that rare trade that both teams would do again even with the benefit of hindsight. I’ve heard this enough in recent weeks that it seems as likely to be heard during a Lopez start as the disclaimer that “any broadcast, retransmission or account of this game,…

Owens specialized in the sprints and the long jump and was recognized in his lifetime as “perhaps the greatest and most famous athlete in track and field history”.[4] He set three world records and tied another, all in less than an hour, at the 1935 Big Ten track meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a feat that has never been equaled and has been called “the greatest 45 minutes ever in sport”.[5] He achieved international fame at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany, by winning four gold medals: 100 meters, long jump, 200 meters, and 4 × 100-meter relay.…
Head coach Josh Heupel has become one of the better coaches in college football — having gone 27-12 over three seasons at Rocky Top with a 2-1 bowl game record — and the hype around starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava is real. As such, the expectation for Tennessee is that they at least make the now-expanded 12-team College Football Playoffs, but they may be even bigger than that amongst the fan base. With expectation comes pressure, but that’s not something Heupel is worried about. In fact, he believes his locker room can feed off it. Expectations are always high at Tennessee,…
