For Tennessee fans, Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello is their guy. He’s engrained himself into the Big Orange. He’s a winner, sure, but he’s also got a good energy about him. He connects with fans, and he’s always in his team’s corner. But, what if you were the athletic director of a generic SEC baseball program, and you could hire any college coach in the country to run your program for the next several years? Who would you choose? In that situation, would you still pick Vitello, or perhaps a different SEC coach? The conference is at no shortage of…

The Dallas Cowboys took tight end Jake Ferguson in the fourth round in 2022 as a backup to Dalton Schultz. By his second year, Schultz was gone, and the keys to the tight end room were placed in his hands. He responded with a breakout campaign with 71 catches for 761 yards and five touchdowns, placing himself firmly in the upper level of the hierarchy at his position. As he enters his third season, Ferguson is expected to make…

When Wayne Gretzky broke his own record — becoming the first player to accumulate 30 assists in the Stanley Cup playoff season of 1985 — he did so in a year in which the Edmonton Oilers scored more than five goals per game. Gretzky ended that season with a breathtaking 208 points, numbers that seem impossible today, the second most that year in NHL history. There have been four 200-point scorers in the 100-plus years of NHL hockey. Gretzky has all four of them. And his records used to be just his records. No one else need apply. Just not…

Reese appeared to be going for the ball, but she did not get any of it and instead clubbed Clark off the side of the head. Clark fell hard to the floor under the basket. You can see…

With Boston clinging to a two-run lead over the New York Yankees, the four-time All-Star wanted to let his manager know he was available for more than three outs. In turn, Jansen logged the final out of the eighth with the bases loaded and then finished the job in the ninth.…
