WNBA superstar rookie point guard Caitlin Clark has seen an interesting start to her professional career. She entered into the league with as much hype as probably any player ever, which has caused some mixed reactions around the league. Her impact on the league without doing much likely caused some frustration with other players around the WNBA, creating some poor narratives. Caleb Williams reportedly struggled in Chicago Bears’ OTAs on Day 2 Now, what people might not understand is Caleb Williams, believe it or not, is a rookie. That means this is his first time playing against NFL-caliber competition. And, considering the studs among the Chicago Bears’ secondary, Williams is competing against strong competition at each position. The Los Angeles Rams used the 128th overall pick on quarterback Stetson Bennett in the 2023 NFL Draft, hoping he could immediately become a viable backup behind Matthew Stafford. Instead, the two-time national champion stepped away from football and is now making a comeback in 2024. Bennett, now 26 years old, was a second-team All-SEC quarterback in his final season with the Georgia Bulldogs. The Rams fell in love with him during the pre-draft process, viewing him as a potential starting-caliber quarterback who would fit nicely in Sean McVay’s offense if Matthew Stafford went down. NBA analyst Bill Simmons has never lacked creativity, and a recent trade idea from the podcaster is one of the latest examples of that. During a recent episode of his show, Simmons cooked up a scenario where LeBron James would land with the Los Angeles Clippers while Paul George would join the Los Angeles Lakers. Here’s the solution for all of us with Paul George: a double sign-and-trade with the Lakers,” Simmons said. “LeBron gets to stay in L.A. but he goes to the Clippers to open the new stadium and finish his career there. Paul George gets to finally…

Linebackers coach Johnny Holland speaks to reporters during Week 1 of the 49ers’ offseason workout program. One of the newest 49ers already is drawing comparisons to a former Niners great. San Francisco last month signed Evan Andersonas an undrafted free agent, and 49ers defensive line coach Kris Kocurek said the defensive tackle out of Flordia Atlantic reminds him of former 49ers defensive tackle D.J. Jones. “I think he’s down to about 315 [pounds] right now, which is good, kind of the targeted weight we envisioned for him,” Kocurek told reporters Wednesday. “Watching tape of him in college, every time I…
