When the Miami Dolphins parted ways with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, a few players publicly rejoiced. Rookie cornerback Cam Smith tweeted an unlocked emoji. Safety Jevon Holland posted a video on his Instagram story kicking rocks. But the most recent shot at Fangio comes by way of complimenting former Ravens Assistant Head Coach/Defensive line coach Anthony Weaver. Weaver was one of the most respected members of the Ravens organization before his departure. According to Head Coach John Harbaugh, Weaver was the lead member of the committee last offseason in the team’s search for a new offensive coordinator, landing on Todd…

Red Sox Nation has heard it before; The Boston Red Sox have a Bobby Dalbec problem. Dalbec was optioned to Worcester once again in May as part of a series of roster moves at the time. Of course, he’s back to torching Triple-A pitching with the WooSox. Dalbec went deep for the WooSox in a 9-8 victory on May 18. He drilled a two-run shot to left field in the first inning to put Worcester on the board against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Dalbec has a .220/.328/.540 slash line through 14 games with the WooSox. He’s blasted five home runs and…

Newly hired Phoenix Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer sat down with the team’s media and production staff for an interview that was posted on Monday. In this sit down he spoke on many topics, including Al McCoy’s impact, his father’s coaching impact, the hiring process, and more. What stood out to me most, however, was tucked away at the end of the interview, where he spoke about what fans can expect from his desired style of play: “Playing fast and playing random, and the ball moving are things that I believe in.” This quote alone jumps off the screen. I’ve…

The Dallas Cowboys have gotten a look at their 2024 NFL schedule, so they know what they are up against in their quest to make their fourth straight playoff appearance. The Cowboys are entering next season with some pretty strange expectations. One might even say they are flying under the radar, as there are some who are projecting Dallas to miss the playoffs entirely as a result of the club’s inactive offseason. Not only did the Cowboys not really sign anyone of significance (unless you count linebacker Eric Kendricks), but they also lost numerous key pieces, such as offensive tackle…

The Steelers have added some new pieces to their inside linebacker room this offseason, signing former Raven Patrick Queen via free agency and selecting NC State’s Payton Wilson in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft. As a result, many have debated if Cole Holcomb, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last year, is further away from being fully healthy than expected. Some have even tabbed Holcomb as a potential cut candidate, but head coach Mike Tomlin seemed to put those beliefs to rest during Tuesday’s first day of OTAs. He’s working to get back to us and doing…

Rafael Devers set a Red Sox franchise record for consecutive games with a home run in Boston’s series-opening 5-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Monday night in St. Petersburg, Fla. In the fourth inning, the third baseman wrote himself into the Red Sox record book with an opposite-field, two-run shot to left on a 97 mph four-seam fastball from Taj Bradley (1-2) for a 3-0 lead. It was his sixth straight game going deep, eclipsing the high mark most recently matched by Bobby Dalbec in 2020. His 10th blast traveled an estimated 382 feet and left him two…

According to NBA insider Zach Lowe of ESPN, Devin Booker won’t request a trade from the Phoenix Suns this summer. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said in April that Booker wanted to be traded to the New York Knicks. However, Lowe is hearing that Booker will remain with the Suns. “I continue to hear that there is no Devin Booker like trade request coming,” Lowe said on his podcast. “You know, not in the foreseeable future anyway.” The Suns won 49 games this season but were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2024 playoffs. Booker will make…

Josh Heupel is developing his third quarterback in four years as Tennessee football prepares to bounce back to SEC contention after a less-than-impressive 2023 season.
