One of those set to come back to school in 2024, according to 247Sports’ Alejandro Zuniga, is offensive tackle Myles Hinton. The Stanford transfer hasn’t played a huge role in 2023, but with LaDarius Henderson out of collegiate eligibility, he will have a shot to earn the starting left tackle position. Another guy, however, has plans to go to the pros following the season — do-it-all offensive lineman Karsen Barnhart. The native Michigander has been in college since 2019, and he admitted he made the decision prior to this season beginning. “I’m going on to the NFL,” Barnhart…

One interesting aspect of what’s felt like an injury-riddled NBA season, is the number of high-profile players who could ultimately become ineligible to be in the mix for season-long awards this year. The current rule states that players must average 20-plus minutes in 65 regular-season games or play at least 62 games, suffer a season-ending injury and play the majority of games prior to the injury. So this means names like Ja Morant, Bradley Beal and Tyler Herro are already ineligible for the Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player awards. But beyond that,…

The Jacksonville Jaguars won’t have quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the lineup as they try to save their sinking season on Sunday. But the Jaguars will have left offensive tackle Cam Robinson available for the first time in a month. Robinson left Jacksonville’s 24-21 victory over the Houston Texans on Nov. 26 with a knee injury. The Jaguars placed the former Alabama All-American on injured reserve the following day, and he missed the next four games. Jacksonville lost all the games missed by Robinson to slip to 8-7 and into a tie for the top spot in the AFC South…

Okogie sprained his ankle on Christmas against Dallas and was limited to 12 minutes in the loss against the Mavericks. He was 0-for-5 from the field, including 0-for-3 for behind the arc. The former first-round pick from Georgia Tech returned and played 10 minutes in Phoenix’s win over Houston…

But former NFL quarterback and football coach Shaun King thinks an overlooked detail about Getsy might have contributed to the issues. During a conversation about Fields (surprise, surprise) with 670 The Score’s Bernstein and Holmes Show on Friday afternoon, King posited that Getsy’s lack of obvious improvement as a play-caller results from a literal lack of vision: struggling to see the game from the sideline. In the two years Getsy has been in Chicago, he has called every game from the sidelines, which has resulted in very little notable improvement over those campaigns. So why not try…

When Los Angeles Rams COO Kevin Demoff penned an open letter to Season Ticket Members in March, the message was met with various interpretations – many of them pessimistic. Understandably, the focus fell on the organization opting for “replenishing our draft capital and improving our long-term salary cap situation,” as opposed to continuing to exchange picks for proven players and structuring contacts in a way that fit all that veteran talent under a financial ceiling. L.A.’s customary discipline in free agency suddenly felt like austerity. Bobby Wagner returned to Seattle. Leonard Floyd and Taylor Rapp signed with Buffalo.…
