Having just finished up his fifth season in the league, it’s clear Maxx Crosby is making an impression on the next generation of NFL talent. At the NFL Combine on Wednesday, defensive line prospects were asked who they look up to in the league currently and one answer was the most common: Defensive Player of the Year finalist and three-time Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby, who totaled a career-high 14.5 sacks and 23 tackles for loss in the 2023 season. “You look at his play style, it’s relentless,” said Jared Verse, an edge rusher out of Florida State. …
The Baltimore Ravens have a chance to make a big splash in free agency during the 2024 NFL offseason. They currently have an opening at starting running back and are expected to pursue one of the big names in this year’s free agent class. That could lead them to a running back who has earned a spot in the Pro Bowl in four of the last five seasons. In an article predicting how much the top running backs in this year’s free agent class will get paid, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox predicted that Derrick Henry would get a…
As the NFL scouting combine is underway, mock drafts are flooding in with the news of teams meeting with players in Indianapolis. Tuesday’s press sessions were for coaches and GMs only, while Wednesday’s sessions were the first for draft prospects. Defensive linemen were the first up for the week. While the 49ers need offensive line help, two recent mock drafts have the 49ers addressing the defensive line again. Randy Gregory, Chase Young, Javon Kinlaw, Sebastion Joseph-Day, Clelin Ferrell, and Kevin Givens are all set to be free agents, so the 49ers will have to address the position in free agency and…
The Phoenix Suns are taking on the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. However, before tip-off, Devin Booker was seen linking up with Burrow and Chase got some great seats as they’re right on the court watching the Suns warm up. It was cool to see Booker make his way over and greet them as well. Even Bradley Beal came over to say hi to the Bengals stars. stars Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr
During All-Star weekend this year in chilly Indianapolis (it was a high of 22 that day), a media member who would know told me to keep an eye on Phoenix for one of the next All-Star games. I said, “Sure,” but thought that with the next two on the West Coast — San Francisco in 2025 and Los Angeles in 2026 — the league might be thinking of another part of the country after them. No. It looks like Phoenix in 2027, staying within the Pacific Division. Shams Charania of The Athletic was first with the news, which Duane…
The Mavericks star, despite putting up 45 points, sort of put the blame on himself for their gut-wrenching defeat against the Cavs. However, Max Strus had other ideas. Strus, who was on a heater in the fourth quarter to help the Cavs keep in stride with the Mavericks, capped off his heroics in the final frame with an absurd buzzer-beating game-winner from beyond halfcourt, breaking the hearts of Mavs fans everywhere. For a second, it looked like Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks were going to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.…
Newcastle United are now targeting a move for a Championship defender who is a big supporter of the Magpies. Newcastle’s summer preparations are already well underway and one area that manager Eddie Howe is keen to improve on is at left-back where Dan Burn is currently occupying. Davis had a season ticket at Newcastle for years As a boy, Davis’ football journey began at Wallsend Boys Club, the very same club that produced the likes of Alan Shearer, Steve Bruce, Michael Carrick and Peter Beardsley. The 24-year-old defender was a huge Newcastle fan and had a season ticket…
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has been dating his girlfriend, Hallie Aiono, since at least 2021 quickly became a star in the 2023 NFL season — and his girlfriend, Hallie Aiono, has been rooting for him from the sidelines. The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver has been dating his girlfriend since at least 2021 when he was a student at Brigham Young University. The pair have posted snaps of each other on their Instagrams, including photos of them attending a Los Angeles Lakers game together in January 2024. When Nacua scored his first touchdown as a professional in…
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is rocketing toward free agency. And the Vikings are letting him. That was the clear takeaway from our Tuesday visit with Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell at the Scouting Combine. The Vikings want Cousins back. O’Connell made that clear. But he also said that Cousins has earned the right to “bet on himself.” This position assumes the risk that Cousins will win his bet by finding another team that will pay him more than whatever the Vikings are willing to pay. The Vikings are about to find out. Cousins is about to find…
Ciraldo’s huge call as star Bulldogs recruit Stephen Crichton handed 2024 captaincy Canterbury-Bankstown coach Cameron Ciraldo has made one of the biggest calls of his coaching career by appointing star recruit Stephen Crichton as the club’s new captain. Three-time premiership winner Crichton, 23, will replace Reed Mahoney and Matt Burton with Ciraldo informing the Bulldogs playing group of the news on Thursday morning. A St Clair Comets junior out of the Penrith Panthers system, Crichton returned to training early prior to Christmas and has impressed so much he’s now been handed the role of leading Canterbury-Bankstown back towards…
