BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB/Gray News) – Authorities in Louisiana have issued an arrest warrant for former LSU football standout Kyren Lacy.

Lacy is wanted on charges of negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run following a crash that killed 78-year-old Herman Hall, a former Marine, and injured two others, Louisiana State Police said.

On Dec. 17, 2024, police said Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger south on LA Highway 20 and “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline and entering the northbound lane while in a designated no-passing zone.”

After allegedly causing the crash, investigators said Lacy sped from the scene and did not report his involvement to police.

Lacy is also wanted on a charge of reckless operation of a vehicle, documents show.

Authorities said they are “in communication with Lacy and his legal representation to turn himself in.”

The former LSU wide receiver declared for the NFL Draft just two days after the crash.

During his five-year collegiate career at the University of Louisiana and LSU, he caught 162 passes for 2,360 yards and scored 26 touchdowns.
