Western Kentucky University (WKU) Volleyball’s Paige Briggs was recently honored with the Alyssa Cavanaugh Player of the Year award, highlighting her exceptional performance throughout the season. The accolade, named after the late Alyssa Cavanaugh, a WKU volleyball legend, is one of the most prestigious in Conference USA (C-USA). Briggs, known for her versatility and leadership, played a pivotal role in WKU’s dominance on the court, excelling in both offensive and defensive aspects of the game.
The Hilltoppers’ success this season was further underscored by the team collectively earning an impressive 10 C-USA awards. These honors include multiple All-Conference team selections, testament to WKU’s depth of talent and coaching excellence under Travis Hudson. WKU’s strong team chemistry and strategic gameplay made them a formidable force in the conference, continuing their tradition of excellence.
