Sun seriously Seeking no One Particular Kind of Player

On Thursday, the star-studded Phoenix Suns made easy work of the division-rival Los Angeles Lakers, with Bradley Beal having one of his best performances yet with his new team as he lit up LeBron James and company for a game-high 37 points.

Even though the win over the Lakers was a great sign that the team might be progressing after consecutive losses to the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix could be one of the teams attempting to improve its roster ahead of the NBA trade deadline on February 8.

Trade rumors in the NBA are starting to heat up with only a few weeks left before the buzzer sounds on the deadline for teams to wheel and deal, and itโ€™s not beyond the realm of possibility the team makes another trade since they havenโ€™t lived up to expectations so far this season.

According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Suns will be targeting an โ€œathletic wingโ€ player ahead of next monthโ€™s trade deadline, via NBACentral

Unlike other teams around the league, the Suns donโ€™t have many trade assets at the moment, with the team making blockbuster trades for Durant and Beal recently.

Itโ€™ll be interesting to see what the Suns end up doing in the coming weeks, if anything, ahead of the trade deadline and whether a move or two could thrust them back into the title-contending conversation in the Western Conference, which is extremely competitive this season, with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder leading the way.
